At first I thought he just didn't came and was ashamed to show as proof empty condom, but later in the end we find out he actually came out, so was he really that paranoid she will try to impregnate herself or accuse him of rape? Is it really that common and dangerous in Sweden (in light of Assange case)?

About him being afraid of involuntary fatherhood, that was put in the movie for effect. Why would that be a problem in a specific country? Swedish women are strong and independent but we're not living in some Greek comedy where we're showing off our dominance by using sex as a weapon and men as breeders. A few might want to fly solo but most men and women want a relationship.
The abuse on the other hand is trickier. The whole metoo business is at a crossroads right now, men and women are trying to find the right way to communicate with each other without there being misunderstandings. That goes for one night stands too. Who initiated it, how much did he/she drink, should I stop even if he/she says he/she wants to go on etc. This is going to take some time but we have to start somewhere.
