I know it's not erotic BDSM but I kept thinking it...like dominance & submissive kinda relationship? When he accepted the mushroom in the end.
Beautiful film, relaxing music & Daniel DL's pleasant to watch. I'd put it my 'films to play while getting ready or folding clothes' list lol

Woodcock definitly wanted to be babied... He also seemed to have a sense for the kind of woman he wanted to dress, how they should behave and such, so I think oedipal aspects are alluded to...
At the same time, the movie can be read as the obsessiveness it takes to be an artist and as a commentary on the process of artistic creation...
