i like that idea - that would explain why she dreamt of water and felt such an affinity.

still, she was much, much more humanoid than the creature, which is why i found the idea of sexual relations between them more than slightly nauseating. a lovely film nonetheless.

How do you know that the creature was an adult, maybe he's a teenager by creature's standards lol Plus she's definitely not one of them. My theory is her mom had a thing with a creature and had her, half human half fish. So it still might be bestiality with a minor...

They said he was worshiped as a god which suggests he was around for quite a while. Maybe she's the child from his perspective...
