This is one of those innumerable movies of which it could be said, "In real life, bet on the bad guy" (though of course this is not a real-life situation). The boyfriend, after being mortally wounded in a car crash, just happens to stumble on the scene to help the hero, who plods towards the witches with the heavy cross in order to destroy them by casting its shadow over them. They could easily get out of the way, but they don't! And they decide to wait till "the thirteenth hour" to kill the heroine even though they see the hero approaching! By the way, why are they operating on a spot where there are so many crosses?
