I found the movie to be entertaining as a horror flick, but the reasoning and rationality behind the unknown girl's powers was incredibly lacking.
[SPOILER]
The claim is that the unknown girl was not originally a witch, but somehow due to her mistreatment during the witch trials, she became a witch.
I think the movie would have been much more compelling if it were left more ambiguous and hinted at witchery even prior to her mistreatment. Maybe some revelation to hint at why she was under investigation for being a witch in the first place.
Again, the movie was entertaining. The acting and cinematography were excellent. It did not recognize it's true potential in the end due to the illogical or incomplete backstory of the unknown girl. This movie could have been much greater.

I liked that it was just different from typical horror films I've seen recently. Everything took place in a confined space, in real time.

I don't like it when horror movies introduce only pieces of a backstory, and then leave it full of holes. Either explain the whole backstory (enough so that it's not flawed), or don't introduce one at all and just make it a mystery.

Indeed, the movie is quite creepy and the actress that plays Jane Doe looks very alarming. But the movie quickly falls down to simple scare jumps of an average stupid horror garbage. So the ending was a bit letdown, but overall it was entertaining.

I agree the script isn't great but I think Ovredal sets up a very good atmosphere and Cox is brilliant in this.
I'm trying to go for an engaging, funny youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance. A review of the movie here- https://youtu.be/v5RZtsKxjy4

It was enjoyable but still I felt something was missing.
I expected the body to do something! Every time the camera closed in of her eyes I expected them to blink. Certainly I expected towards the end for her to get up and leave the building as that seemed to be what she wanted more than anything was to get out (first the house then the morgue). The father gave her his life but still other than some repairs, she is still a dead body (or at least seems to be).
Being from that area, if she was part of the Salem Village witch hysteria she was certainly off the books as no one was treated like that (burning especially).
