Caught this on the Showtime On Demand app and its pretty darn good. Its not easy to make a movie with the main star sitting in a tiny capsule throughout the movie, but they made it WORK. Didn't see that ending coming! Pretty dark! Damn Brits and their UNHollywood endings! lol

As things developed, I wondered if this was a "Capricorn One" tale, where "Commander Guy Taylor" was undergoing a final test "under movie set conditions." The thing that gave that away was the lack of "weightless effects"; for instance, the picture of him and his wife wasn't "always ready to float away." I got very suspicious about "who is who" when "The C.I.A./Houston" came on,just before his ground control told him where he really was. Not up to the standard set by "Moon," but OK as a one time view.

Good point about the lack of weightless effects. Just another indicator of the low budget, I guess.
The thing that really bugged me about this movie was "Commander Guy Taylor". For a trained astronaut, who also spent considerable time as a spy, he seemed awfully panicky up there, if not on the verge of hysteria. I mean, any human being would be scared, I'm sure, but I'd think he'd be a little more professional. There's no question he would have known that there would be risks involved, but he acted like he just sort of bumbled into a bad situation unexpectedly.
