I became curious where Bennett, Dylan and Joe were getting all of their money to pay for surgery, hormones, etc.

They showed Joe at one point where he had been in jail for a DUI, empty beer cans stacked up all over his house and he was living in this fairly nice, big house by himself. The only job they showed him having is as a singer. Unless you are a 'star' I don't know how you could make money off of that career. I knew a guy that was in rock bands but he did it as a hobby, not as a living. He had a regular job.

They showed Bennett and Dylan living in this nice apartment and able to pay for top surgery, hormones and other living expenses. I've known people that don't have all of those bills, but working for low-wages, and they can't afford their own apartment. Many live in their cars. I've always had to live with family members because of that.

My guess is they were financing everything with student loans and grants from going to school (although I'm not sure about Joe because he wasn't attending school). I've heard of people doing that. Obviously they weren't going to say that on camera so you're left to guess that's what they were doing.
