Cos first we watched this together while on holiday in a province with no wifi - we all fell asleep one by one and it was one of the best naps ever! I tried to watch it again with my sister and same thing happened. And we were not bored by it, maybe just so happened the timing we watched it - after lunch and the background lol like the snow.
We just simply love this film for relaxing :) One day after drinking coffee I will try to watch this and not fall asleep.

This is a really engrossing film and given the drug epidemic wreaking havoc in the south needs to be revisited.

I wouldn't mind if Lawrence went back to her roots at a smaller budgeted film like this one. Well, not that small.

I need to see this again. I liked John Hawkes and Dale Dickey but even though I was not familiar with Jennifer Lawrence when I saw it (which makes it seem a long time ago!), I found her miscast. She looked like someone who had just stepped off a flight from LA rather than an Ozarks girl destined to age into one of the grotesque hillbilly characters surrounding her.
