gyllenhaal is the best actor in his generation, dicaprio is also always good (though i don't care for either of their politics). reynolds seems like the new york knicks: he's at the top level, people talk about him, but he's always disappointing

It was.... Okay'ish. I love Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Renolds is... well Ryan Renolds, and them together was better than I expected, although they should've left all that Amelia crap out.

I agree, Ryan Reynolds is a better actor than many people gives him credit for ( "the Nines" etc.etc) but better than Samuel L Jackson?! No way mate - Mr. Jackson is brilliant, especially as the bad ass.

Yeah, I wouldn't say he's better than Jackson either but he's definitely given some very good performances before, in both comedic as well as serious roles. A good serious one would be Buried, where he basically holds the screen by himself.

Saw this movie. Ryan and Jackson are both nice actors, but damn this movies sucked. They could cast King Kong in this movie and it would still suck. Shitty script, shitty directing

Reynolds is awful. Just plain awful. He's wooden, he is unconvincing, there is never a time when I think "wow, Reynolds, has BECOME that character" as I did with gyllenhaal in nightcrawler or enemy. Reynolds should be a model. He's a good looking guy but has less than zero charisma on screen. If one of the kardashian skanks somehow became an actor, I would think that they would be the female equivalent of Reynolds, except they never burned up the screen as Billy from Fifteen

i'm kind of in the middle in this debate. i was not convinced by reynolds in this role; he just seemed to be playing himself, but he definitely does have presence on screen, and he has been good in some roles, like the nines, and buried, and he does a good rom com - i really liked the proposal. nothing earth shattering, but a competent actor.

Glynnhall? Di caprio? What?! ... This movie didn't need a thespian, it needed someone to play off Sam Jackson in a fun way and Reynolds delivers....

Basically, DeadPool without the costume. I like RR and I liked Green Lantern (too bad no sequel).

I did watch the movie today and hey... i'm impressed! great performance. i think for the role of Michael Bryce they couldn't find a better actor. the way he acted and his facial expressions were just great for his role! and in fact he and samuel belong together... in this movie!

Worth a rent at RedBox.
