Discuss Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw

Well, you do now after watching the movie! After it drives the message to your head for the last 30 minutes of the movie with the subtlety of a jackhammer.

It certainly was nice of the Eteon boys to just stand there silently and patiently while the Rock makes his majestic appearance in his Samoa skirt and delivers his dramatic speech. Like the true gentlemen the Eteon boys are, not one of them thought of using the rifles they were holding and shooting a couple of rounds at the target that is standing right in front of them standing perfectly still and delivering his speech. Best to listen to the monologue first and then start shooting. Unfortunately, though, somebody hacks their weapons at that point and they can't use them anymore for six minutes. Not sure what the point of having an electronic lock on a conventional mechanical firearm would be. Seems like it would only become an unnecessary safety risk when your firearm would not work for whatever reason. There is of course the fact also that you'd probably be wearing gloves in a lot of combat situations that would render the firearm useless. In fact, it seems that even the Eteon boys are wearing gloves. So, maybe nobody even 'hacked' their guns and instead those dummies just forgot take their gloves off.

Also, while I'm here, how does the lift capacity of an attack helicopter work? One attached car = serious trouble lifting it off the ground. Two cars = no problem, need more cars. Three cars = no problem, need more cars. Four cars = serious trouble lifting it off the ground. And, finally, one arm of the Rock holding a chain attached to the helicopter = serious trouble lifting off the ground. This helicopter is singlehandedly making a complete mockery out of physics!
