The implication was that Peter was the only one Deadpool could have saved. He was the only one besides Domino who landed safely, and he was saved because Deadpool told him to walk away before Peter attempted to rescue Zeitgeist from the wood chipper.
Unless they didn't jump at all, Deadpool couldn't have stopped Bedlam from crashing through the bus window, Shatterstar from landing in the helicopter blades, Zeitgeist from landing in the chipper, or Vanisher from hitting the power line.
Hm. I don't remember if he told Peter to walk away specifically as he was trying to help Zeitgeist, or if it could have been just before that incident. Either way, Deadpool could alter the course of the timeline for just individual characters. Zeitgeist could stay dead but Shatterstar survive because Deadpool told him to jump earlier or later or swerve left or right ... The possibility's there. But with the uncertainty behind the franchise because of the Fox sale of the studio, probably no one knows what's happening now, not even Ryan Reynolds or studio execs.

I did not catch that.
I was kind of disappointed with Brad Pitt's cameo. I thought all of the X-Force stuff was way too abbreviated (but understand why it was 'cause, well, they didn't stick around). The time shenanigans in the credits means the door's open for them to return, and I hope they do. Shatterstar could be great. But who knows what will happen with the Disney takeover ... 😩

I may remember this wrong but didn't he just save Peter?

Just because they didn't show him saving the others doesn't mean he didn't.
