Yes, this movie is. It's revealed at the very end with the character David Dunn from Unbreakable present and a reference to Mr. Glass is made. Kevin's alter the Beast has superhuman ability like David and Mr. Glass did.
I had no intention of seeing this movie, so the spoilers here didn't bother me at all. In fact, I may go see the movie because of this info. I love 'Unbreakable' and had no idea there was any sort of connection. That's one way to get my butt in the theater seat!
I slipped past the spoilers above, but I recall my friend mentioning this had ties to unbreakable. I'm assuming that and more was stated above. Once I heard the at I knew he finally came back with a good flick.

That's actually one of the only reasons that I watched this movie. It was only when I found out about the connection that I got curious about the movie.
Yes and I think it will be great if they did a sequel with Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson (I think that's the plan anyway)
It IS, should be interesting how Disney & Universal would work together to cross this over. Disney gave M.Night FREE permission to use David at the end in exchange to be involved in a Unbreakable sequal/Split crossover

I did not watch this during it's theatrical release but now I'll watch it and maybe pick up the Blu-Ray just for the tie-in and the planned sequel to Unbreakable.
They are currently filming the sequel 'Glass' at an abandoned loony bin in Pennsylvania, Bruce Willis, Sarah Paulson and Anya Taylor-Joy are in it. No sign of Sam Jackson, but the film appears to be named after him so...

If I'm not mistake a third movie is supposed to happen. Unbreakable and Split are origin movies for a hero and a villain.
