I have been trying to figure out how sane, reasonable people, even studio executives and producers can justify not using the alternate ending in the final version? What logic went behind the decision to put the most boring, bland and superficial ending into the final cut? Can anybody find an interview where a director or actor explains the reason?
The film was bad, very poor but the alternate ending actually redeemed it a little. It had the best acting that came from Vanessa Hudgens throughout the entire movie, it was much more reminiscent of beauty and the beast. The stakes were higher had in the end we get to see what effect this whole thing had on Kyle. HOW he was a better person to everyone around him.
I'm extremely disappointed, sure alternate one felt rushed but the ending we got was hugely anti climactic, didn't hold any deeper meaning and felt very unfinished.
