Discuss The Foreigner

As I was watching the movie, I kept thinking about how much Pierce Brosnan's character Liam Hennessy reminded me of Gerry Adams. Does anyone else have an opinion about this?

I don't know Irish politics, so it'd be difficult for me to say, to any degree, what kind of inspiration Gerry Adams provided for the writer beyond doing a quick google search and skimming the hits to cobble together a quick picture.

In the meantime, tell us, what do you see...?!

I think there was meant to be a superficial resemblance at the very least... Maybe even thematically as someone who bridges the two conflictng parties, nas well as the old and new way of doing things...
