Source? The opening title appear to be "Das weisse Band - Eine deutsche Kindergeschichte" like most of the press material. "weiße" seems to be an alternative spelling.

It's just the sort of modern German way of spelling. It got changed a while ago from ss to always using an ß. But nevermind because since it's a movie about old Germany anyway, it's Das weisse Band indeed. I just thought it was wrong because IMDb has it with an ß.
