Discuss Dunkirk

Wow! What a surprise this was for me. I wasn't expecting much, but it was way better than expected. Immersed is the word. From the first clip, it grips you and rarely let's up. Nolan finally edited a film down to 90. Much appreciated. I'm tired of the poorly edited 3 hour type films that are unnecessary that often come out today.

one scene that made me think i was watching an art film was at the beginning, when the soldiers heard the plane - just seeing everyone make a run for it but really nowhere to go then they all just drop on the sand and cover their heads. it was like watching ants when their line breaks and they run around.

also a simple scene i liked when the soldiers were eating their toast with jam
