Item: Gypsy: Live from the Savoy Theatre
Language: en-US
Type of Problem: Incorrect_content
Extra Details: Title should just be "Gypsy" according to: the title graphics, the DVD box, official posters, Amazon sale page, etc. The source for the long title seems to come from the IMDb page. But the field is locked, so I can't change it.
The overview is also wrong and the field is also locked: it is not based on a book by Arthur Laurents, but on the memoirs of Gypsy Rose Lee.

I have updated the overview. In terms of the title, the long title is used by BBC Four, who originally broadcast it in 2015.

Not to be pedantic, I need more help understanding this.
TMDb's Movie Bible states: "Original Version: The original title should always be the title used in the original version of the film. It is usually pretty straightforward." and "Sources: When the promotional material use slightly different titles (e.g. Twelve Monkeys vs 12 Monkeys), we try to use the title as it is written in the original on-screen opening credits."
But you are saying that the website trumps the actual movie itself, so is there another passage I'm not seeing that allows for exceptions? Or is it a case-by-case thing left to individual moderators? Should title graphic screenshots be submitted for these kinds of reports? Should films with locked title fields just be ignored if incorrect?

No, I was just pointing out an official source that uses the long title.
If you are able to provide a screenshot of an on-screen title, that is always helpful, because not everyone can access the specific film or tv show. I found the page on Amazon, but I am unable to watch it due to my location.
No, definitely not. If you find one that is incorrect, please report it, and a moderator will look into it.
I have updated the title of this to Gypsy, and I've moved the long title to the alternate title page.
