This was just on last night so even though I've seen it a hundred times, I had to watch it again. So, so many funny scenes! "How is Nordberg?" "Well, the doctors say he has a 50/50 % chance of surviving. Although you know there's only a 20% chance of that." "Rest assured Mrs. Nordberg, as soon as your husband is better he is welcome back at Police Squad." "Unless of course he's a drooling vegetable, but I think that's just common sense." I love Stephanie driving as well: "Gently extend your arm. Now extend your middle finger." Oh man. Constant gags. How they come out of the movie Platoon and are the only ones laughing. How he utterly destroys Ludwig's office. Too many to list!

A slightly prefer the second film. But they're both amazing.

Drebin's whole run as the umpire was a complete riot.

Yeah, the third one was still funny but quite a dip in quality. It was about as funny as the Hot Shots films.
But I think the reason for that is that Abrahams and Zucker parted ways and no longer worked together on the films. Abrahams did Hot Shots and Zucker did 33 and a Third (and only as writer).

I just looked into it. They worked together on Scary Movie 4. I'm not a connoisseur of the Scary Movie franchise, is number 4 noticeably funnier than the others?

Frank at the press conference. He forgets to remove his microphone then goes to take a whiz. crowd can hear him letting it all out, singing, and even threw in a fart at the end......hysterical
and when he was umpiring the game.

RCH2228: "No matter how silly we think the idea of having a queen is...." The Mayor looked like she was going to have a stroke! One of the funniest exchanges between the two: Mayor "Are you aware that because of you this city is being overrun by baboons?" Drebin: "Isn't that the fault of the voters?" And of course, when Frank is on the Jumbotron: "Hey look, it's Enrico Pallazzo!" Enrico! Enrico!

To be honest not really. It felt like it was copying three and the jokes were the stale. The story was imaginative
