Paterson bediscussiëren

I'm guessing the overly obvious interplay between how the wife would treat/address her husband and how she would then treat their dog, compounded with Paterson's repetitive schedule was supposed to call into question the true meaning of their relationship? It seemed pretty condescending (both the behavior and the film methodology) and like it came to nothing.

Spoilers His wife was very naive/childlike in her daily life in my opinion, but I liked her. She was a dreamer and wanted to find a dream she could grab on to and take off. Sometimes I felt she was taking advantage of him (Ordering the guitar they couldn't really afford), but I hoped her love for him was true. She certainly had respect for his poetry and supported it. She wanted him to chase his dreams, too. I can see why he would be smitten, though. She was very beautiful and charming.

Interesting. I get that she is attractive and charming (if a bit naive), but what threw me off was that she basically treated her husband like a second dog. Very patronizing.

True. I can see that. And he was always competing with the dog, it seemed.
