Can anyone tell me the point of inferred gayness of the detective and his aide - though not towards each other. It seems compulsory nowadays to get in a gay sub plot by hook or by crook - and the latest fashion of course is to refer to a females wife or a males husband. It is cringe making in it's political correctness.
