Billy and his pals, on the run from the law again, travel to Sage Valley where Billy is made Sheriff. The local outlaw gang is run by Kansas Ed who closely resembles Billy. Ed captures Billy and changing clothes with him, now plans to run the town as Sheriff.

Billy et ses copains, à nouveau fuyant la loi, se rendent à Sage Valley où Billy est nommé shérif. Le gang local de hors-la-loi est dirigé par Kansas Ed qui ressemble beaucoup à Billy. Ed capture Billy et change de vêtements avec lui, prévoit maintenant de diriger la ville en tant que shérif.
