Discuss Never Say Never Again

Apparently there's tons of extra footage shot for this one. Granted it's probably bad BUT I think this film would be much improved with a reedit -- not just to add scenes but tighten things up a bit. Replace the entire soundtrack. Redo the opening credits. Add the gunbarrel opening. I swear, the movie would be one of the best Bonds if they did that. I wish the producers would do it just for a special release.

There are youtube videos that edit the opening to look more like a classic 007 sequence, plus title sequence. They’re quite good. I like the opening song, I think with the right titles sequence, it would be very good! Lani Hall is a good singer, she did many amazing Sergio Mendes songs in the 60’s.

I like the Phyllis Hyman theme song that was never used over the Lani Hall version. But I do like both.

I like but don't love the Youtube re-edits of the opening. They're still pretty clunky. Also, and this drives me nuts, one of the Youtube Videos has Orion Pictures logo. Apparently some DVD releases have this open. But in theaters, at least in the US, it was the old fashioned Saul Bass WB Logo. Now that's it's part of the official Bond collection it now has the MGM lion to start the film.
