@SaveTheJamesBondFilms : I don't know if you've seen Sprectre yet. But it seemed to have a lot of gadgets, that were taken from other Bond movies, I think in Spectre went overboard. And I have to admit that Spectre is the worse of the Craig Bond movies.

People often confuse the Connery era with later movies when it comes to gadgets. Most of the gadgets in that era Bond were weapons or tools in disguise. A lot of them were actually real or viable bits of kit. The jetpack for example existed in the real world. Water filled Caldera are pretty common. Must concede that an imitation water roof to a caldera is pretty goofy. When one of the later Bond movies recycled this idea they at least tidied that aspect up a bit. The only truly 'zany' gadget of the Connery era I can think off was Oddball's hat. And to be fair, that is at least plausible enough on first impression that Mythbusters decided to test it. 'Busted' for those wondering.
The truly goofy stuff started with the Moore era, had a brief pause with Dalton and reached its nadir with Brosnan's last outing.
If people are thinking they loved Connery's Bond for the zany gadget's they are probably misremembering. For a rundown of which Bond used which gadget, Wikipedia has kindly made a page just for that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_James_Bond_gadgets
I remember watching this movie and finding it well-done, but still only thinking it was an ok flick. I remember watching Skyfall and thinking it was really good, but I've never watched it again. Craig's Bond just isn't fun. He's a boring miserable human being.
You guys like the jet packs and the seagull hats? You like that goofy crap? Wow... Casino Royale is one of my favorite Bond films now, and Daniel Craig is my #2 Bond below Sir Sean. To me, the worst, most unwatchable Bonds have been the ones who came off as little more than "pretty boys" like Dalton and the like. Connery was a randy guy and liked to play, but he had an intensity that makes him compelling to watch, in spite of the plastic seagull hats and borderline-corny underwater fighting. Craig isn't what I'd consider to be "pretty" like Dalton and Moore; he's more of a rugged dude who brings something novel and different to the role. As for why he's miserable, doesn't he lose the love of his life in this film?

Daniel Craig isn't what you would call a pretty boy? The guy literally walked out of the sea wearing sky blue Speedos imitating Ursula Andress from Dr no and you're sitting there calling the other Bond actors "pretty boys". Hilarious doesn't even begin to cover you Craig fanboys.
Ha-ha, of course it's all subjective. But Damienracer seems to be using labels w/o giving them a lot of thought, I am afraid. The last thing I am is a Daniel Craig fanboy....

@DeBurgh: If it makes you feel any better, in Spectre Bond interrogates a mouse at gunpoint.
Also, when he's falling through the building he destroyed, he actually lands up sitting up on a couch on the ground floor.

Dood, I'm not a Craig fanboy. I may never watch Quantum of Solace again. I just don't find Daniel to be that pretty, that's all.
