Discuss Deadline - U.S.A.

History forever repeating itself. Take notice of the first half hour. This was in the 50s and nothing ever changes.

Great movie.. Bogie fighting the shutdown of a popular Newspaper.

Found this on Youtube. Some great older movies on there.

Great quote: Margaret Garrison: [to her daughters] **You'll be happy to know that stupidity is not hereditary. You acquired it all by yourselves.**

Hehe, I certainly agree that that quote is really great. There were some good lines spread throughout the film, but I'd probably put that one above the rest. In of itself, I also found "Deadline USA" quite enjoyable. It could've been a bit longer to explain and flesh out a few things, but that is usually par for the course with these old motion pictures. :) It was also peculiar to see Martin Gable play the gangster, as I am used to seeing him on the TV show What's My Line?. Ethel Barrymore also did a good job with her limited role. She always comes off great on the screen to me.
