also what happened to his old motorbike in the beginning which suddenly changed into new?
btw what's the messaging app they use? or just some regular SMS?
I don't get all the hype, I liked old music, shame they don't use more of it, it's good movie, but not better than 8/10 and they are many filler moments just to show nice shots

There is no movie like it in the past 10-15 years. Sure, more arty ones, but nothing like this in terms of pure Hollywood. Even the James Bond and Cruise's own Mission Impossible movies aren't at this level.
Also, showing nice shots is part of the appeal. The movie can get away with it because the rest of the movie is entertaining enough and Cruise is a compelling actor.
