In relation to Stacey, I'd have to say the latter. Nothing against the character, just didn't miss her personally.

This movie doesn't seem as forced as the second one, where they were trying to shoehorn Hailie Stienfeld and that Flashlight song into the mix. There was also a feeling of sadness to this one, as it's written to be the end of the Bellas that we know. Not sure why, but it irritated me that DJ Khaled wanted to pluck Beca out to be a solo act. It just reminds me of the Supremes and 100 other acts where one person is selected as the "star" and the rest of the group loses out. I guess it was nice that everybody else had other plans anyway.
I read some comments that Anna Kendrick nixed the idea of the Bellas dressing in more skimpy fashion, because she said the reason people come to see these movies is to see all the girls of different types, shapes, and sizes. That may be partly true, but I think she's also underestimating her own sex appeal (I notice Beca had the lowest plunging neckline) and also that of Anna Camp, and Brittany Snow with red hair is just heart melting.
