Trailer for this movie was great. I always enjoy going to see them and the addition of henry cavill was a nice add on. The movie was good, but extremely over hyped by critics. Biggest issue I have with it is simple: there are really no redeemable or interesting characters in these movies. Tom Cruise, no matter how many miles he sprints on screen (this time was complete over kill and just funny) or stunts he performs, isn't convincing as an all out action hero. His last good role imo was edge of tomorrow mainly bc he fit the cowardly prick role so well and we actually saw the transformation. His entourage in MI6 (benji and luther) worship the ground he walks on and created some cringe worthy scenes where they are putting him on a god like pedestal. It is a cruise vanity project through and through, but it does deliver the action and is clearly the reason why it has held on. Cavill is a very wooden actor, but does what he can. The ratty villain from the 5th is back and is just as lame as before. story was good enough to hold everything together, good action movie, but nothing close to A+ material, 6/10.

At least this time I could understand what the hell Sean Harris's character was saying. He mumbled so much in Rogue Nation that I had no idea what he was talking about until I rented the DVD and watched it at home with the subtitles on.

Same here. He just mumbles and mumbles - can't understand it at all. :0( I actually want subtitles in cinema too. I recently watch Infinity War and had great difficulty in understanding some dialog (perhaps my ears are going don't know).

Well, unfortunately Americans for some reason can't deal with subtitles in regards to movies.
