Real 3D or IMAX?!?

Gonna attempt to see this Saturday (finally caught up on all the MI movies as I had stopped at MI:2 years ago)..noticed Universal Orlando's Cineplex has 2D IMAX, but also Real 3D showing (non large screen format)...
...what to do what to do? I want the BEST sound, but also would hate to miss out on 3D effects...IF there are any! Help!

Whatever is better. I hear the movie is 2 1/2 hours long.

IMAX
3D is a waste unless it was shot in/for 3D (this wasn't).
And this film is specially formatted for IMAX in certain scenes. That means the picture is opened up for those scenes (only in IMAX) and it's beautiful. Saw it in IMAX.

Agreed Xyberfaust, decided on IMAX and glad I did, I noticed the special scenes..felt like fly over the actual scenery at times! So awesome!
Didn't see much that would've taken advantage of the 3D
