Overview

　　1925年，法国马赛。

　　弥漫着音乐和酒气的俱乐部里，有钱有势的大亨盖尔盖尼威胁利诱拳手艾伦，要他输掉与朱罗特的拳赛。比赛开始后，艾伦改变主意，挥拳将朱罗特打倒在地。盖尔盖尼十分震怒，立即率人追杀艾伦。逃亡中，艾伦的经纪人马克西姆饮弹身亡，但盖尔盖尼的弟弟瑞恩也被艾伦打死。艾伦知道自己恐怕是难逃毒手，走投无路之下他只得参加了法国外籍军团，成了一个雇佣兵。
