Discuss Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

SPOILER of course but Maisee was a clone? That twist really came out of the blue and disappeared without any impact what-so-ever.

That whole part of the movie kept me thinking that plot twist could have been better used for a different type of movie. Your right; that part really didn't make sense to me.

I think that Maisee status as a clone was the reason she identified with the dinosaurs and felt empathy for them. Although you're right, that twist is served better in another type of film. I think they're taking Jurassic Park into a completely different direction. With the clone dinosaurs unleashed into the general human population, it's like an apocalyptic scenario.

Actually I think that would be a interesting sequel.

Yeah, I was just thinking that myself after reading what I wrote. The set up is certainly there.

I think to do it right there should be a complete separation of Jurassic Park itself...just make it a horror movie that's just about dinosaurs terrorizing cities. Oh sure they could mention where they came from, but the premise should be something more like Cloverfield.
