Looks Lost World-ish to me (and I didn't care for Lost World).
The most doomed island ever!!!! Although I'm surprised that a possible volcanic scenario had escaped any musings I had about the direction of this new Jurassic trilogy.
The franchise feels played out. This movie seems like a rehash of everything done before. Dinosaurs chase humans. That's it. Perhaps it's time for a major reboot, new direction.

That's what they're trying to do. As long as they don't go with weaponized dinosaurs or half human half dinosaur hybrids I'll be happy.

Funny you mention the half human, half dino hybrids. I remember several years ago Universal's annual haunt Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando, FL did a house IN the Jurassic park area based on EXACTLY this...humans with dino parts and dino puppets loose in the house. It was definitley unique.

Exactly. I like watching dinosaurs chasing helpless people but Jurassic Park has lost all originality. I don't think there is anywhere else the franchise could go. A reboot is not needed. Producers should just allow the series to end. The first 3 movies are still rewatchable.

I suppose they could change the genre to scifi horror

The Lost World happened in another island.
I forgot.
This is basically the first island from the first movie.
