The concept of this was really interesting, with the fugitive predator coming to earth to help humanity, being pursued by the predator bounty hunter, however execution wise, it fell flat. You can see the reshoots a mile away, with the original script focusing on the Child and you can tell that they made it a subplot. The ending was less than stellar, I guess they can get away with it since Disney owns this and Iron Man, back in the day they would have been sued for copyright. In addition they slightly acknowledged AVP, so let that sink in. I guess they want to push this series as a mind-less action series, it has made enough money to warrant a sequel, so it will be interesting to see where it goes, eventually they will reintroduce the Xenomorph into at some point.

Has it made enough to warrant a sequel? It made LESS the Predators (the 3rd entry) on LESS SCREENS! I saw it Saturday & there was only about 6 other people in the theater.

That said, I'd PERSONALLY love to see the Predator Killer in action, looks like an enhanced Iron Man suit! But I'm also realistic, I think this franchise, like the Terminator series, is all but tired & people just aren't interested anymore. slight_frown

I am going by IMDB, they said it took number one at the box office, I would have liked to see the Predator factions, specifically the ones working with the humans if done right, I guess there was a deleted scene and character, played by Edward James Olmos, who had ben working with human soldiers, however it came off as hokey because they were dressed in US Military camouflage and using US weapons. To me The Predator Suit came off as desperation, as if they didn't know how to finish the film.

Did I miss something watching the previous Predator and even Alien movies? Who exactly was the fugitive predator, and what exactly was his motivation for bringing the anime Predator-fighting-suite to earth? And here I thought we had it bad with the whole SJW and feminism mentality taking over the world, but it looks like it's even worse, and it's even spread all over the galaxy all the way to the Predator planet.

I kept thinking, IF the fugitive predator wanted to give mankind a early Christmas present, why didn't he just say so when he woke up on the table. I'm not sure where exactly the "universal translator" came from, but even if he couldn't speak to his capturers, surely he could of tried some sort of " I come in peace" instead of killing them all.

It made no sense to be hostile whilst trying to give us a anti predator weapon. Or am I missing something??

Maybe that is why the predator was so hellbent on ripping people's arms and other limbs off. Perhaps it just wanted to take an arm and shove that Predator-killer gauntlet on said ripped arm and then give the weaponized arm back to the guy who is sitting there perplexed and armless crying and bleeding out, and the Predator says in predator language :"There you go. Knock yourself out. Merry christmas. My good deed for the day is done."

It was a Predator movie, so I was entertained. Was it good? Well no, it was pretty stupid, but it wasn't the worst Predator movie I've seen. The Aliens vs Predator movies were far worse.

Let's wait for Prey. It's coming out soon .... this year. Directed by the guy who made 10 Cloverfield Lane.

It should be good.... Let's hope so.
