A lot of implausibilities in this - for a start the view from the houses to the train didn't suggest a clear viewpoint - Rachel would have to had 50/50 vision to see what she did - especially at dusk. The behaviour of the Counsellor was completely inappropriate - I doubt he would ever have visited a patients house and displayed affection overtly outside. I find it hard to believe that Rachel would have absolutely no memory of the throwing canapes incident - especially as the hostess said she wasn't drunk - just tired. Also it seems unlikely that her husband having sexual relations with all the girls in the office was a sackable offence. With regard to Megan -- I always find it inexplicable when somebody in a dangerous and vulnerable situation would scream threats and abuse at their attacker. And the transition from caring supportive husband to gas lighting psychopath was somewhat abrupt to say the least. I also found it amusing that Anna would swan about upstairs when her husband was violently assaulting Rachel downstairs I think the reasons Rachel gave for insinuating herself into Megan's husbands life were also silly. I don't know why they bothered involving the police because they didn't do a damn thing.
