It occurred to me recently that, seeing as this is a Warner Bros. film featuring a giant creature, perhaps at the end of The Meg (a la Kong: Skull Island) there could be a stinger for a future showdown with another giant creature in their "MonsterVerse." An aged up Tom Hiddleston could appear to recruit Jason Statham. Or maybe that underwater station is Monarch-owned.
A little far-fetched I admit, but I wouldn't be surprised if true.

I gotta admit, LOVE your idea..not sure how much "fight" a giant shark will have against Godzilla, King Ghidorah and the like, but it WOULD be cool if its surprisingly part of the Monsterverse!

It would be a 2 minute movie. Meg would not stand a chance against the titans.

Hell, Meg couldn't even survive Jason Statham. Which is kind of pathetic when you think of it....

I don't suppose it happened or else I'd probably seen the headline by now. Maybe WB would have pushed for it if they knew The Meg was going to make so much money.

Interesting, but really, the shark isn't big enough, and the Meg series is kind of already connected to its own "Sea Creatureverse" in the books.

Like I said, the books already connect into their own "Creatureverse", with a number of prehistoric animals appearing.
