Cary Grant isn't quite Cary Grant here. He's so young and obviously hasn't developed the unique and loveable screen persona that made him famous. This movie is an interesting chance to see a different side of him.

Herbert Marshall almost never got the girl in most of his movies. That's why I find it hilarious that in this, one of the rare times he did, he won out over Cary Grant, of all people! That's certainly to his credit. I'm a huge fan of Marshall; he's a very good, very underappreciated actor.
