I like the comic book films for what it is but this more practical stuff always excites me just a little bit more. I love seeing a fight sequence done without any camera tricks or a lot of special effects. And the choreography here was fantastic.
I'm trying to go for an engaging, funny youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance. A review of the movie here-https://youtu.be/FJHDz39T6wo
But I suspect this movie is by the way it portrays women as sex objects.
How does it do that? Have you seen the movie?
I haven't seen it yet.
Ah. I recommend you see it. When it first came out, I was not interested in it (I wasn't particularly enthralled with the entire Mad Max franchise/universe). After reading rave reviews, I was suspicious it was just fanboy drivel, so I sat down to watch it and see what all the fuss was about.
As the movie began, I was skeptical it was going to be worth my time. By the end of it, I was giving it a standing ovation.
I wasn't enamoured of most of the action. But there were several story lines that were quite emotionally moving; setting these emotional story lines against the starkness of the landscape/backdrop made them that much more impacting.
Give me a dollar for every review that describes Theron as 'kick ass' and I'll buy everyone a car.
The fight scenes were everyone standing around waiting for the designated stuntman to attack Theron. There was a lot of fighting but it was amateurishly choreographed.

I think A) you’re misinterpreting my point and B) going to have to explain ‘greatest current action star’

by naming two movies that really sucked...
and even if they were good movies, that wouldn't be true. she's not convincing as an action 'star'... not at all

Well at least you gave it a chance. I don’t have time to watch half assed movies. Especially when I’m rolling my eyes watching the trailers.
