Spike has lost his mind, a movie with Nick Canon as the star rapping his lines for 2hrs, in fact the whole cast raps their lines, in this cheesy comedy musical. Lee hasn't done anything good since Clockers.

Sounds repulsive. I was gonna pass anyway since I can't stand Nick Cannon. As for Spike, Clockers and 25th Hour were probably the only two of his I enjoyed, and even the latter isn't very rewatchable.

Tonally, this movie is kind of all over the place. And it's not as funny as I'd hoped it would be. It does have its moments. The ending is thought-provoking.

If you haven't you should review Kevin Willmott's (https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/24408-c-s-a-the-confederate-states-of-america). I'd like to know your thoughts on both of his efforts as a writer.

Ah yes, I believe that Willmott collaborated with Spike Lee in the writing of this film.
I saw some of the Confederate States film and found it dryly amusing...

Did anybody else view this on their computer?
I only watched it on my laptop. Due to my options, I don't think I had any other choice. I think this might have been why, in spite of the film's respectable plotline, I was a bit underwhelmed while watching it. The picture was small...! That's why I think we should have different choices when we view a film for the first time - Martin Scorsese's The Irishman received what I'd consider almost an optimal opening with both streaming and limited theatrical options.

I totally agree that this film suffers from a laptop only review. At least connect your laptop to a monitor. I saw this as a theatrical release and I also own a copy on DVD.
