Discuss Colossal

I loved it that much! Almost a week later and its still on my brain! I can see this becoming a cult classic along the lines of Shaun of the Dead and/or American Werewolf in London...movies with more HUMAN elements with a horror-ish backdrop!

Wow, I agree, I think it was an amazing movie. I loved how it was mostly a character study with elements of sci-fi, horror, comedy, drama, almost impossible to place in a genre. So well done. I just saw it this morning, and I love all the subtle and not so subtle hints to the problems of each of the main characters without ever fully naming their issues. It treated its audience like they were intelligent, and I dunno, there is so much to love and I suspect I will be thinking about it for many days later. I wish more movies like this would be made!

I have to say I had not seen any trailers for it, barely read the synopsis before I saw the film. I think going in blind is the best way of seeing it. I had no idea what direction the movie was going and what was going to happen. Everything was a continual surprise and it was just really amazing to watch it all unfold.
