Idk. Highlander was fun mainly (for me) because of the performances by Clancy Brown and Sean Connery. The premise was fun and the music by Queen really sold the film. I think, however, that Chad Strahelski, who directed the terrific John Wick and Captain America: Civil War movies will help the remake work. I'd say reserve judgment until then.

The first movie was lightning in a bottle but that doesn't preclude that other directors and writers can't make this work.

I think they need a touch of Hollywood.

• Ramirez should be black. Tyrone Ramirez
• Female who can kick everybody’s butt. A good looking 110lbs girl.
• McLeod should be more sensitive. Probably some scene in the past being gay. He is in love with the good looking girl but he also loves another dude.
• even 400 years ago, he was fighting the patriarchy.
• In Scotland 400 years ago it was women who fought and protected land. They did a better job than every men.
• Men are all morons.

That’s a good list to start. Hollywood might surpass itself by then.
