Yeah looks fantastic. Pretty ironic actually as I had just seen the two "nerdwriter" youtube episodes about Edgar Wright's direction techniques in creating visual comedy and creative transitions, and then a couple of minutes later the trailer went online. I'm psyched too :)
Is NWRefn's Drive related to the 1970's The Driver? I haven't watched this one. But Baby Driver does look a bit like a funnier take on Drive's plot/theme (which I loved, btw).

I think it's obviously more of a comedy, but it is definitely inspired by The Driver according to interviews.
I don't know, I love Edgar, but in some ways, the most remarkable thing about this video is how unremarkable it is. But in fairness, I guess I'm judging it by todays standards - when he was 19 this was probably avant-garde.

For the early to mid nineties, I would say this was pretty ahead of its time.
Just watched the trailer for this. Haven't been this excited about a movie for a long time. tears of joy
Unfortunately, it was less fun to actually watch. The beginning was good and I liked the end, but the middle was soooo boring. Basically once Jamie Foxx shows up and until he exits the movie becomes one note and drags like hell. Basically all he does for an hour is threaten Baby or does something to threaten Baby. Everytime I saw a glimmer of something new or interesting, it just becomes just another way he threatens Baby. Each minute I was like, oh look he's threatening Baby again. I wonder what's next? Oh yet another threat to Baby. /Yawn.

This is in my top 3 most anticipated films for this year. To say I am looking forward to this movie would be an understatement.

How's this for anticipation? Wright did it when he was 19 yo.
