First of all, I found this movie to be total eye candy, just beautiful on the screen - the color, the shots, the sets, the wardrobes, the style... gorgeous. I should create a list of movies that are "beautiful" (to me - YMMV). [Edit] Done, see Eye Candy.
I'm not a fan of Jesse Eisenberg, but he was perfect for this role. I should also create a list of movies that compelled me to appreciate actors I normally don't like. [Edit] Done, see Hater's Gotta Rate.
It's clear Corey Stoll and Woody Allen like working together (see also Midnight in Paris).
The cast was broad, full of tensions, family matters. It was interesting to hear suggestions of how Jewish people see themselves, and how families debate matters of spirituality, philosophy vs. practicality, etc...
And the score was perfect.
As for the ending, the story is open-ended because life is exactly that - until it's over, it's not over.

No idea! Weird. I'll delete the superfluous one. I also edited the first one (perhaps, I screwed up while trying to edit it in the first place, who knows).

You might have hit the quote button instead of the edit button?
