I workout every day and have gotten into playing Tomb Raider games recently.I downloaded the new 2013 game as well as the original, and I installed Tomb Raider 3 onto my computer. So recently I've been thinking about what it takes to become fit enough to do the things that Laura does.So I've been searching for a Tomb Raider workout for men but haven't found anything.I've been doing Be fit 21 workouts using the app on my Galaxy A6+ phone. Is there a Tomb Raider workout for men? Can you guys give me any advice?

If you want to emulate "old skool" Lara Croft I would suggest you start with gravity defying breast implants.

Gymnastics would be your best bet if you're thinking about the older games where she is doing all kinds of flips and cartwheels etc. Rock climbing probably the second best bet if you're thinking more of the new games where she mostly does climbing stuff. There is obviously some carryover from just doing general strength stuff, but if you want to get good at rock climbing...well...you should practice rock climbing.

Thanks for the replies,SOME of them are helpful.I'm really just curious about how fit you would have to be to do what Laura Croft does. There is a place that teaches Rock Climbing near me but it costs a lot.I just want to become Tomb Raider fit. And I'm a guy,so I need to find a plan that's specific for men. As a woman,Laura Croft would have a workout that's specific for her gender. So I need to find one that's specific for MY gender.I've got the "Lose weight in 30 days" app on my phone which is bodyweight exercises.I also have a Barbell, dumbbells,AND Kettlebells.

It's been a while since I've played the reboot, but as far as memory serves, she mostly did what I assume would be fairly basic stuff in climbing circles. I believe a lot of the stunts in the game seemed to involve more luck than actual climbing or strength related skills. Stuff like making crazy death defying leaps and stunts all the time isn't probably something you can train for in any reasonable way. I doubt there is an app or specific workout just for Tomb Raider. In general just getting good at bodyweight stuff (gymnastics, rock climbing or street workout) will set you on the right path. As for your question on how fit you would have to be.....well....if you can master stuff like chin ups or ropeclimbing like gymnasts or rock climbers do you can pretty much do what she does in the reboot (excluding the death defying stunts).

If you have lots of spare cash, the best way would be to do what Alicia Vikander did: Use a personal trainer and be prepared to both change your diet and do a LOT of hard, physical exercise. Hope you don't need to work for a living! It took AV 4 months of 7 days/week training, and she was already it fairly good shape.
Failing that, get to a gym where they offer personalised fitness regimes. Again, be prepared to both change your diet and do a LOT of hard, physical exercise. Will obviously take longer, especially if you need to go to work.
If you can't afford either option, you'll still need to be prepared to both change your diet and do a LOT of hard, physical exercise and it will probably take you even longer still. You can base a routine off: https://www.harpersbazaar.com.au/beauty/alicia-vikander-tomb-raider-workout-abs-13704.
If the thought of all that hasn't put you off, don't forget that once you achieve your desired shape you need to carry on with your regimen to a great degree unless you live the sort of life that provides a natural workout - but then, if that's the case you'd already have that sort of physique.
Good luck!

Also Mario, before any serious diet & hard exercise regime is started, contact your doctor & have a physical exam first.

Your description says you are a 38 years old South African man. Don't you think it's a little unrealistic for you to be doing "stunts" like shown in a movie? I am not saying it's impossible but it might take up all your time and energy; remember the people who did that in the movies are professional; they are paid to do it and work on it all the time because it's their job.
Still if you are into that maybe you want to hit up a conversation with this movie's lead's stunt doubles. They will know what to do. Or just read up on their work out regimens. At least you will have an idea on where to start your male workout regimen.

It's really more about me working out and getting fit.I was just curious about what kind of a workout a guy would have to do to become fit enough to do the things that Laura Croft does in the games.

Perhaps it might be more convenient for you to consider simply changing your gender. It's very easy to do these days. You don't even need the operation.

Well it's a pretty old thread. I'm always looking for new workouts and am really into video games. So that's why I'm always curious about what kind of exercises characters would need to do to get into shape. Right now I'm focusing on getting Boulder Shoulders and am working out with light weights every day doing lateral raises, front raises and other exercises I find online to build big shoulder muscles.

Out of interest what does your workout routine look like these days? Also why light weights if it's hypertrophy you are after?

Well I'm basically exercising my shoulders to get boulder shoulders.I used light weights for Lateral Raises because it's hard to do that exercise using heavier weights. But I started doing these two exercises that I saw in a Jeff Cavaliere video on Youtube yesterday using heavier dumbbells.I've always wanted boulder shoulders, plus I read that big shoulders make you look thinner.

Dude this is an interesting concept, and if anyone puts up a Tomb Raider workout on yt I would subscribe. I would recommend doing parkour training, gymnastics vids and (don’t laugh, I’m serious...) cheerleading videos on yt. I’m male and as Danny Glover would say “too old for this sh*” but I’ve been getting back into extreme fitness, and the key which a lot of dudes overlook is the need for flexibility and balance. So I’ve been following along with tutorials for gymnastics and cheerleading which is very similar to the sort of choreographed martial arts stuff in the movies. I’m not advanced enough to dive into hardcore parkour workouts (doing flips over fire escapes lol), but the gymnastics & cheer stuff is improving my flexibility & balance which is just as important as building muscle for this sort of stuff. Keep us updated if you hit your goal!
Edit: For those who don’t know what parkour is, watch and be amazed... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NX7QNWEGcNI
