I enjoyed it a LOT. Much more than the first movie. The movie shows a lot of Dumbledore’s angsty past self.
Nagini didn’t have a big role. Not a lot of speaking. You could even cut her entire role and the movie still works. Her role serves as a friend to Credence.
One of the “main” characters supposedly died at the end. I said supposedly because it certainly seems so (everyone in the movie believes she’s dead). I don’t know if she will come back.
One main character will join the bad side at the end.
Credence’s identity is revealed at the end. Hints have been dropping though.
Dumbledore is pretty gay for Grindelwald. I’m salty that they won’t make it explicit, but they literally had a blood pact “not to kill one another.” Dumbledore: “We’re closer than brothers.”
McGonagall appears as a professor at Hogwarts. Young, stern, fair, very much the professor we love.
WE SAW A BUNCH OF SCENES AT HOGWARTS. The feels.

I liked it as well and haven't seen much positive reviews. Not sure if I liked this better than the first one, normally with HP films I like it better after rewatching. One of my favourite parts was Hogwarts, missed seeing the school.
Do you mean Leta Lestrange as the one who died? Was thinking if related to Bellatrix.
Also confused with the ending on how Credence is a Dumbledore but I guess will have to wait for the next one since we don't have the books to know the answer.

I thought some of those plot twists, deaths and revelations were pretty random. If anyone can be brought back from the dead (Credence, Leta) or erased memories are restored out of thin air (Kowalski), what's the point in telling a dramatic story?

There sure were a lot of dead babies for what was supposedly a kid's movie. Even off camera, the scene where the muggle infant was killed seemed gruesome.

Leta's alive? The brothers looked sad like she died. For Kowalski story (ending of previous film at the bakery we can tell that he can remember, maybe the kiss in the rain was like a shield hehe) - was more bothered by Queenie joining the dark side like something was lacking for her to really be convinced by Grimdelwald esp she can read minds I thought she's be hard to manipulate.
It was okay, not sure what the rating was if kids were allowed. Not really a kid's movie - only first 2 Harry Potters seems like for kids. Prince of Egypt had more killing of babies.
