Arang was one of the first Korean horror movies I watched and I was pleasantly surprised; asian movies belong to a culture that is very different to ours, european/american people, but you just cannot deny talent when you see it, and Korean movies are full of it; acting, directing, photography, it really have a unique ambiance no other country will ever bale to copy despite all the remakes done (pretty poorly in my concern...)

That's why I gave it 4 star: not perfect but a very good introduction to the Korean horror movies ;)
