Why can't they have the Decepticons be the main bad guys? Like, the real bad guys. And why can't they bring back Starscream? Or Shockwave and Soundwave and do them right?
I neither liked, nor disliked this entry, just like I've felt for the last 3. I liked the first one, hated the second one, and have nothing'd the last 3. They're incredibly average. The lack of Decepticon presence is the main reason I think. This one had promise but once again, the Decepticons are throw-aways. I wish, instead of Megatron negotiating the release of some unknown rejects like a terrorist, he would use some part of Cybertron to bring Starscream, Shockwave, Soundwave, Devastator (the real one), Ravage, etc. back to life to give the Autobots a real fight.
I was glad to see Hot Rod finally and hope that Ultra Magnus is next, but without the real Decepticons, what's the point?
Oh well. At least the humans in this one weren't as annoying as the other ones.

They went to the trouble of setting up a 'Suicide Squad' montage (putting the team together) including their names, and when did we see these colourful characters in action? We barely saw them. I understand that they want to introduce different bad guys but it would have been cool to see Megatron perhaps overthrow that 'God' lady and take control of the evil plot.
Everyone loves a bad-ass villain and they needed to up the ante on this one.

The most annoying thing is how they ruined Hot Rod who's supposed to be this cool hotshot Transformer not a pathetic butler protecting Vivian.

i found his character to be bizarre. When he lost it and strangled Cade I was like 'how could a butler behave like that?'

I think you're confusing Hot Rod with Cogman who was the Count's butler, Hot Rod was Vivian's car that turned into a Lamborghini afterwards. I guess calling Hot Rod a butler was somewhat wrong, he was more like her chauffeur/guardian.

yup, sorry after posting this I looked up hotrod because I thought 'his name wasn't hot rod' and saw that it was a big character. I vaguely remember him from the tv series however.

Yeah Hot Rod is his nickname, he's supposed to become Rodimus Prime - Optimus Prime's successor. That's why I said they basically ruined his character.

This is Bayformers. The only similarity between robots in the comics and the movie robots are the names. Bay doesn`t care. He just makes what he wants and throws in random names from the comics.

Thus the reason why the phrase "Creative License" works for and against consensus enjoyment of any movie or film made from non-original material.

Can't believe more people aren't talking about it and I am not sure if I missed something but the thing that annoyed me, more than anything was how convieniently Bumblebee got his voice back at the exact moment Optimus was about to stab him.
No explanation, nothing? Just oh yeah he hasn't had his actual voice for 3/4 movies but he will just randomly get it back now, that's fine we don't need to explain that?
It is quite a massive character trait of Bumblebee as well and it could of been quite a good moment where he finally got his voice back say in a scene with Sam finally fixing it for him (I know not now I meant hypothetically in the first 3 movies, instead they used it in such a dumb way?
Did I miss something or was it purely random and just meant to be accepted that way?

I don't get it either. Why do the humans ALWAYS want to kill off the guys who saved them 5 times already
