For making this crap? Did someone think she could pull off tom hanks and make a movie of just her and an inanimate object? This was just plain awful. I get that she a babe in a bikini, I appreciate that. However a movie made about a hot babe with no talent and NO SUPPORTING ACTORS EXCEPT A BIRD should be disclosed before you start watching

Seriously though, compared to movies like Buried or Locke, where the protagonist is in a confined space for the duration of the movie, with no scenes elsewhere, The Shallows is quite action packed and has lots of side characters on screen...

i wouldn't say action packed. she laid there a lot and yelled about her leg injury. as far as displaying acting skills goes, it wasn't the best venue. she was better as a slutty tramp (perhaps that's her niche) in The Town. In fairness to her, she is married to ryan "don't light a fire near me" reynolds, the most wooden actor in cinema today

Funny you should mention Ryan Reynolds, as he was the actor in Buried, the movie that I mentioned... The whole movie is him in a coffin... 😉
