I'll watch this but the idea doesn't excite me at all. Does the world really need yet another version of this story?

I don't think that I have seen any versions of this movie. Which versions have you seen and which one did you like the most?

I've seen the 1937 Janet Gaynor/Fredric March version, which is quite good, and the 1954 Judy Garland/James Mason version, which is generally considered the definitive version of the story. It is certainly the superior of the two, and both Garland and (especially) Mason are superb. Some of the music numbers do drag on a bit but it mostly earns its classic status.

I have never seen the 1976 Streisand/Kristofferson film, which by most accounts is not very good.

Bradley Cooper was really awesome in this. That's the reason to see this.

Heard Cooper insisted she hold all the GAGa nonsense. And she HAS to do better than BS!?!

OMG. They remade this with Lady Gaga? LADY GAGA in Judy Garland's role?! That tears it. Somebody just shoot me now.

Was Lady GaGa really nude in that bathtub scene at the Chateau Marmont? You only saw her for a split second when she stood up and Jackson stormed out closing the door.
