I find it tolerable, but not fun, primarily because I enjoy both Sam Neill and William H. Macy. Tea Leoni is an attractive, intelligent woman but I find her more grating than enjoyable to watch. And the kids are just as annoying as F. It has its moments, but it's not a Spielberg movie and it shows.
Also, was anyone else disappointed that Ellie and Dr. Grant never married? I had thought that at least a portion of the first film was that Dr. Grant had learned to appreciate the intelligence and resourcefulness of children with the thought that maybe he and Ellie would move on together. But nope, we get a weird visit from Dr. Grant to Ellie and her new family and then she's gone from the franchise. I mean, what was the point? It paints Dr. Grant as a stubborn, bitter man that's grudgingly taking people after basically losing everything else he had?
I'm in minority but I love JP 3 very much. I love its non-stop action thing. I hated the kid character but it was the only thing I hated about this under-estimated sequel
Although this was a cookie cutter sequal, I enjoyed it MUCH more then Lost World. LW seemed to drag in parts & this one had MUCH faster pace. Plus the new big baddie was awesome (the Spinosaurus) and its obvious its a precursor to what the Indominus Rex in Jurassic World would eventually be!..just a pure hunting, killing machine, nothing like what a REAL Spinosaurus would've been like. Because of JP3, It was my son's favorite dino growing up! :)
Same. For me, the films drop in quality in the order they were released. The sci-fi aspect upon which Crichton created the JP universe was gone by III, and any revivalism of it in IV felt contrived. JP II still had some science to it, even though it required a change of heart for Hammond to move that aspect of the story forward. As someone who read the book first, I was expecting the sci-fi of it to continue, but it dropped off (or became risibly pathetic) rather quickly. Still, I love seeing the dinos, and in JP III, I love the fight between the fin-back and the Tyrannosaur.
It wasn't that bad. But a two things stood out for me:
1) The really bad parasailing CGI scene at the beginning. The first JP was cutting edge in special effects so this was off putting from the start.
2) The cut-short ending when the military arrive. If the film was extended by an extra 20mins involving the military vs. Dinosaurs, I think this could've been much more well-recieved.
I also enjoyed the Spinosauraus, added something different.
Me & my teens rewatched the three JP films on Blu Ray (the first one in 3D Blu)...my daughter dozed off during Lost World TWICE...she even said JPIII, although "popcorny", is more entertaining then Lost World...they couldn't believe THEE Steven Spielberg directed LW...he really phoned it in and is arguably his WORST film (yes, worse then Hook..I actually like Hook though..lol).
And Harry, at least formulate some kind of ARGUMENT or REBUTTAL if you're going to defend LW over JPIII.

The Lost World is a superb movie.
Jurassic Park 3 is an abomination.

It was really that bad and horrendous.
The Spinosaurus aka THE GIANT DUCK was absolutely pathetic and laughable.

Jorgito, at least formulate some kind of ARGUMENT or REBUTTAL if you're going pathetic ideas.
The Lost World is 1000000000 times better than the horrendous and abysmal Jurassic Park 3.
Nobody likes JP3. Even my little cousins know JP3 is atrocious and they love TLW.
