Discuss Dracula A.D. 1972

They claim that the youngsters in the movie look far too old to be teenagers? I do not remember anyone in this film saying they were in high school. I think they were all supposed to be at least 21 or older. God, to some people 16-year-olds are the only ones who can swing party and orgy. Theory: maybe some people somehow have this film in their memories meshed in with 'To Sir With Love'. Just a possibility.

Everyone else. Mech is just being a wise guy about this. In case you have not read this in my other postings on film I sometimes point out Biblical scientific accuracy (round Earth, jets streams, man from soil, head causing rest of body to grow, dinosurs or reptiles before man in creation, etc). There was none of the Biblical scientific accuracy in this film from how I recall it. But the abandoned church Dracula is in stands for the Bible.

Yes. I do recall in an earlier Dracula film him coming from soil. Biblical idea by scriptwriters.

(These films are hard to remember after just one viewing.)( At least years after you see them just once.)

Ben, where in Drac '72 is there further confirmation of The Bible's scientific accuracy?

All I remembered was the vampire coming from the soil as a way to get him back into the story. Nothing else except that the plot was not about Mina Harker or any other character from the Stoker novel other than Drac and maybe Van Helsing. The film was not that recallable.

Back to original point. The film casting director was horrendously, badly abused by a misguided public when he hired 20+ actors to play 20+ characters on film. Nobody ever said these characters were only supposed to 15 or 16. Not one of these then young actors looked anywhere over 24. Imagine the casting director's trauma after the film was completed and shown and he was ridiculed for the ages of the young actors. His probable thought. "I made such a mistake. How did I go so wrong!?! The script called for actors in their 20's and I should have hired youngsters actually learning to shave, could not drive yet, and were going through real puberty for the parts instead!"

There was a little talk that they were lousy actors but that is so strange as they all seemed well-suited to their roles with their convincing countenances and auras. But there was far less talk they were lousy actors than ultra-crazy talk that they were too old for their roles.

PS Bible has scientific accuracy as well. (Round Earth, jet streams, man from soil, etc). Not the original point but great and important to talk about once brought up!

You know Benton I wish you would cite the publications where you get all of your stories! Or at least loosen your tinfoil hat a bit!
