... But not accurate.
All in all as a massive Crue fan I enjoyed it a lot, inconsistencies aside it was a great ride, but what else could be expected cramming a 40 year career into 2 hours? Ok they skipped the last 18 years, but this was based on the book written in 2001 so... Anyone else's thoughts?

No mention of Pammy, they mostly covered the 80s era and touched on some things in the early 90s... Moved a few things around to fit the narrative and then kind of skipped to present day for the last scene... But like I said, this was very inaccurate and if you have read the book or are even have a reasonable knowledge of the story, there's plenty of fact-tweaks to pick out...

the only scene they nailed with any accuracy in regard to the book in my opinion was their run in with Ozzy at the swimming pool

If you want the really gnarly story about the "Girls, girls, girls" recording and tour you should read "The Heroin Diaries" by Nikki Sixx. Some of the content actually made me sick and I'm not particularly squeamish. The book is a ride to say the least, but I enjoyed it very much.

This was great fun. Netflix are steadily getting better with the quality of their films.
I'm probably gonna regret asking this because I've already had Bohemian Rhapsody spoiled for me but...
how is it not accurate?

Skylar being born around the time of the car crash with Vince and Razzle, she was born quite a bit later... The whole music licence being given back to them... They never made up with Vince like it was shown - Tommy and Vince hated each other to the point that Tommy quit for a few years... Nikki knew Tommy way before they got together and Vince lived with Tommy as a teen...Loads of little things like that... They really were more depraved than they are in the film too... I mean, the basic story is there, but for someone like me who grew up on Motley and kinda watched it happen through Kerrang! magazine and MTV, Headbangers Ball and all that... It's missing a fair bit and adding stuff to cram 40 years into 2 hours... I'm not complaining btw, it's a good film, I really enjoyed it, but if you want the whole story, The Dirt is a great book...

It's frustrating with these music biopics changing everything. It sounds like the truth would have made just as much of an entertaining film.
